Re-synthesizing the rhythmic DNA of Mexican, Cuban, South American, and Prehispanic music into myriad new club forms, Mexicali producer Siete Catorce has been a prolific voice in experimental music for the past decade. Mimicking the timbres of acoustic instruments and stretching them to the limits of the digital domain, Siete Catorce’s sound design is steeped in an alien futurism with uncanny reference to mechanical and earthly roots. His first offering in sample pack form is a generous collection brimming with potential for further mutation.
